Notes Part book , part ‘zine and part CD sleeve, Vertical Integration is a lovely object that’s grown on me over the course of the few weeks since I received it. Although initially unassuming in appearance, the texture of its paper cover, the playful manipulation of forms and the engaging interviews with each of the seventeen contributing artists over 31 pages all add up to a very special release. Entirely characteristic of Second Language – subscribing is highly recommended!

PS those interviews provide an insight into the characters and histories behind the music that adds a very welcome sense of depth to the compilation.

  3. Order this the other week and it arrived in no time! Amazing CD, with some incredible artists. The format is stunning and cleverly put together with an interview of each of the artists!
