Boy who cried wolf
Previous Zomby – Dedication, Nothing Next Mini exclusive from Optigram
Boy who cried wolf is a little like how I feel at the moment. Thank you for the kind responses to my previous post announcing a hiatus. In hindsight I needed to write it to draw a line in the sand. The act of doing so has caused me to have a bit more of a think and I’m going to try to continue with HF. I can’t make any promises, but week by week I’ll see how it goes. If you know of any labels that need/deserve/would like coverage here please do let me know and if you ever see an opportunity to spread the word about the site, that would be great as well.
Thanks again for reading.

Skam, Toytronic, Tzadik, Impulse, HatHut… come to mind when I think about labels with a strong visual identity.
great to hear. i hope you continue to find joy in doing such a fine job of sharing these treasures. HF is great! Much appreciated!
Hi Colin, i’ve already stated how Hardformat opened new ways of looking and appreciating album art in a long-ago published comment. And i can understand the work it takes to keep it running. So, as you say, step by step. See if you can make it through these hard times.
The net is a much finer place with HF in it !.
All the best.
Thanks Hans!
Thanks Ricardo :-)
A recommendation – Alex Digard, who produces the ‘Tape-Echo’ newspaper (http://tape-echo.com/newspaper/) and the Livity Sound artwork (http://boomkat.com/search?fields%5B%5D=label&q=LIVITY+SOUND) amongst other things.
Very minimal, focusing on analog processes and noise (newspaper is all done with a typewriter)…
