Notes | Unknown Public switched from the boxes of the initial editions to a hardback book format. Changing Platforms was a special edition to mark the centenary of the UK’s Contemporary Music Network. As such, the book was of different proportions and contained an attractive infographic poster.
Each edition continued to focus upon a particular theme and was packed full of information about the music compiled on the accompanying CD. Featured writers included David Toop and Kevin LeGendre, while the musicians contained on these two CDs included Harrison Birtwistle, Carla Bley, Mike Westbrook, Efterklang, Terje Isungset, and Arild Andersen among a host of others. I think it’s still possible to get hold of these, they’re well worth it. |
