The repress of White Hills’ debut finds their self-proclaimed ‘Fuzzed Out Motorik Spacerock’ literally reflected in a shiny silver sleeve thats both silver-foiled and embossed. The imagery suggests a melding of Haight-Ashbury psychedelia with Russian Orthodox iconography. The end result is strangely unsettling, perhaps it’s that unblinking eye or the claustrophobic latticework. The playful typefaces are also worth note. Label: Thrill Jockey; artwork: Jonny O.
