Notes Dear Hard Format readers I hope you’ve had an enjoyable and relaxing break in your part of the world and that you will have a happy and fulfilling 2013. We start the new year as we mean to continue with another lovely design. Here’s what Atay and Gözde have to say about this release:

As a matter of fact, this was the album which let us to continue the small press called Wounded Wolf. It was started a few years ago by Atay İlgün and now is continuing with him and Gözde Omay with the influence of The Hogweed And The Aderyn which is focusing on folk and textural music.

For us the package is somehow a home for the music when it can inhabit during a transit which is between we and the buyer as gift and support exchange.

It is made out of completely post consumer recycled and recyclable material, even the label on the CDR is recycled and is coherent with the rest of the package as it is made out of recycled paper. All booklets were hand-sewed and we used silk screen print for the outside patterns of the box. We believe this is caused by the nature of the music and the important fragment of the ideology of Wounded Wolf Press.

The photographs in it are taken from a trip around Europe and to us they are the elements of warm in this home. Their dainty, is full of memory (almost excessively self-indulgent) values add a very humane side to a package which will really adorne.

The phial (which is included in the ritualistic edition) was created to capture the essence of the gardens where most of the music was written. It is mainlycomposed of  juniper, blue spruce needles ( and essential oil, rain water and soil). We personally think that this particular scent is quite essential to maintain the memory through to its essence.

  15. Thanks for the helpful post. I have a journalistic blog and people comment to me in person and via email but they rarely leave comments on the site. Being a print journalist who’s moving online, I guess I’m used to telling a story – beginning, middle and end! Any suggestions on how I can get more interaction?
I’m coming in rather late here but there’s something I’ve been wondering about and maybe someone here can throw some light on it?

  16. About 5 months ago I posted the results of a little online survey I’d done about greeting card buying habits in the UK.
It was a lot of work and I thought it would generate some comments. But until recently, it was practically the only one of my posts that didn’t have a single comment (I didn’t ask for any feedback and I concluded that it was of little interest to my readers).

  17. But now that I’ve been watching the stats in Blogger, I find that it’s by far the most read post ever! Seems a bit strange!
If you’re really clever you can just reply to one in every 10 – 100 comments but make sure it’s completely random so people keep coming back to see if their comment made the cut. If it didn’t they’ll keep trying and work harder to make the grade next time! Lol.

  18. Just saying since I notice that’s a pattern on popular blogs and I know Brian is also a master of psychology:)
I studied addiction to see why computer games are so addictive and what web designers (and these days bloggers) can do to get people “addicted” to their websites or blogs. I even wrote an MA thesis about this way back in 1995.

  19. Randomised rewards are one of the keys to getting people addicted so well done to the Copyblogger team – I’m hooked:)
Daily, I post a gorgeous photo, and accompany it with brush strokes of words to build on the emotion of it.
